About

I’ve always been an over achiever – academically, professionally and personally. I won a college scholarship in middle school. I graduated top of my class in high school. I graduated a year early in undergrad. And I worked full time, graduating with top honors from my MBA program. Formal education is not required for success but it does teach you how to finish what you start.

I have carried that lesson with me into every endeavor.

Since achieving my MBA in Finance, I went on to become the controller and head of finance for many entrepreneurial and financially successful corporations before leaving to start my own business management firm. Since then, for the past 15 years, I’ve run the financials and analyzed the numbers for giants in the entertainment industry and managed the accounting and finances for both companies and high net worth individuals.

Coming from a culturally risk adverse family, I learned the ins and outs of attaining financial independence from a uniquely East meets West perspective. Business school and the western world teaches you that no risk equals no reward but the eastern philosophy cautions bigger profits mean the gravest risk. Both seemingly say the same thing but whereas the western perspective emphasizes the reward, the eastern view emphasizes the risk. It is the compromise of this dichotomous upbringing that shaped my financial strategies and career path today.

This can be better distilled to the old saying…”You don’t have to be the fastest but you shouldn’t be the slowest.”
